Community guidelines.
scen is a campus. Treat it like one. These rules are how we keep the space safe for everyone.
The short version
Be the version of yourself you'd want to meet in a coffee shop. Don't send unsolicited explicit content. Don't harass. Don't lie about who you are. If you wouldn't do it in front of someone's mom, don't do it on scen.
1. Be real
- Use your real photos. Recent ones. No filters that change your face.
- Use your real name (first name is fine).
- Don't pretend to be someone else, including celebrities or other students.
- Don't make multiple accounts.
2. Be kind
- Reject gracefully. "Not for me, take care" works.
- Don't comment on people's bodies, weight, or appearance in negative ways.
- No racism, casteism, communalism, homophobia, transphobia. Period.
- Don't out anyone. Not their orientation, not their crushes, not their messages.
3. Don't do these things
- Send unsolicited nudes or explicit messages. Instant permanent ban.
- Threaten or harass anyone on or off the app.
- Take screenshots of someone's profile or chat and share them anywhere outside scen. This includes Instagram stories, college group chats, and confession pages.
- Stalk. If someone unmatches or blocks you, don't try to find them through another account or in person.
- Solicit money, gifts, or favors from other users.
- Promote businesses, OnlyFans, MLM schemes, or anything commercial through the app.
4. Photos
- Show your face clearly in at least one photo.
- No photos of just abs, just legs, or other body parts in isolation.
- Group photos are fine — but don't make us guess which one is you.
- No photos featuring minors (including in family photos).
- No weapons. No drugs.
5. The feed
The anonymous feed is for sharing thoughts, not targeting people.
- Don't name specific people — even by initials or descriptions.
- Don't share screenshots from outside the app without context.
- Don't spread rumors or accusations.
- Venting is fine. Targeting isn't.
6. Reporting & enforcement
See something wrong? Tap report. Reports go to a real human within 24 hours. We don't use AI to make ban decisions on the first report.
Consequences are graduated:
- First violation — warning
- Second violation — temporary suspension (3-30 days)
- Third or serious violations — permanent ban
- Some things (sending unsolicited nudes, threats, hate speech) are instant permanent bans, no warnings
Banned users can't make new accounts. We use device-level fingerprinting to prevent this.
7. Appeals
Think we got it wrong? Email appeals@scen.in with your account email and what happened. We review every appeal within 7 days.
